An obvious one:
And a suprisingly funky song by a completely and totally unfunky Swedish dude (trust me on this one):
Good looking on "Peace, now", JSPR. Love that track - awesomely bad lyrics too...

Two of my favorites by Mr. Mancini
Here's Looking At You Kid
The Theif Who Came To Dinner
I'll try to see if the links to the vids work for me later.

This one would absolutely KILL at a hippie/jam band venue.

A teenage Elton Johns' band Bluesology.
Not exactly 'funky' but definitely inspired by the soul acts (The Isley Brothers, Doris Troy, Billy Stewart, Major Lance and Patti LaBelle) they were being used as a backing band for.

I can't find it on Youtube, but Enoch Light has a nice version of Hot Pants.
:feelin_it:
The Lp is called 'The brass menagerie', and it's off 1973. There's also a great version of 'Season of the witch' on there.
