Really?

I am always out of touch. Just letting you know.

Really? seems to be the hot new catch phrase. Since I noticed it on a cell phone commercial I have noticed it everywhere.
I use it.
Unlike other catch phrases it is something an old guy like me can get away with.
I could never have said "Realeezy". When adding eezy to words was cool.

How long have you been using it?

Oh yeah? Show me a post from back then when you used it.

OK, if this whole thing is stupid out of touch let me have it, I can take it.

    Really Dan? Really?

Note: Back when Amy Poehler was co-hosting SNL's Weekend Update, they developed a "Really?" skit (which means it was already well out there).

    What's Really Real?

  • Is it real son, is it really real son
Let me know it's real son, if it's really real
Something I could feel son, load it up and kill one
Want it raw deal son, if it's really real

i use it from time to time spawned by the SNL skit, i usually use it when i see sumthin so ridiculous that it blows my mind, or when someone does or says sumthin so completely stoopid...

  • i have grown to dislike the use of this word in such a context.
to use it as an all-encompassing term to paraphrase your disapproval and simultaneous disappointment, disgust rage what have you is really to cower away from taking the time to articulate your feelings like a grown up. its some lazy shit. or maybe i just don't like the whiny tone in which it's usually expressed.

  • condescending

I have used it but it is definitely becoming extremely overused on the internets and in the realnets
