M-768L - Puzzle - Puzzle [4/73] On With The Show/Lady/You Make Me Happy/Never Gonna Leave Again/The Grosso//Brand New World/Suite Delirium/It's Not The Last Time/Don't Know Where I'm Gonna Be Today

    M-807V1 - The Second Album - Puzzle [2/74] You Took Me Wrong/Mary Mary/State Of Mind/Everybody Wants To Be Somebody/Haiku//My Love/Now That You Love Me/(Prelude) Concept Of Her (A Moment's Rest)/(Visions) N.Y.C.

    can anyone confirm?

i cant necessarily confirm, but on rateyourmusic.com, someone reviews one of their records saying "really good jazz rock in the vein of 'old blood sweat and tears'."
    that's gotta be it! right?

can someone post the full puzzle track? ive yet to find it.

i found one copy of the self-titled album by Puzzle. Track one ("On With The Show") is indeed the culprit track contained in the podcast. the whole album sounds like a collaboration between blood sweat and tears and king crimson. pretty wicked stuff!

    AWESOME.

  • "On With The Show" isn't on this page but CHECK THIS SCHITT OUT:

    http://www.myspace.com/puzzlehornband

  • Finally found the track. Had to search long and hard for the LP, couldn't find any cd releases of the album. I recorded the song from vinyl myself so the quality isn't fantastic but it will have to do until some one finds another version. The good people at the Three Pints and a Towel music blog are hosting it for me, if you get a chance check out his stuff @ http://threepints.blogspot.com/ .

i have two Puzzle LPs, but neither has this track. one is self titled on ABC, probably 1970. its a 3 piece band. the other is called "the second album" and its on Motown, 1974, with totally different personell. I had assumed these two albums were related (despite the lack of the same members) till this madlib mystery cropped up. now i see there must be a motown Puzzle album besides this "second album" i have. Whos got some info? or a cover image?

    thanks for the mp3!

  • Yea, there is a puzzle album from 1973 with "On with the show". Im gonna try and work on getting the rest of the record digitized with minimal noise and see if i can post it as well.

thanks and stuff, but this easily ranks as one of the worst
sounding vinyl rips in recent memory.

  • Revisiting a very old post but i have been doing some digging and have a created a slightly more updated version of the tracklist

I was re-listening to the Motown Podcast the other day, i remembered that every tracklist i have seen is missing a number of tracks that I knew.

So I have updated it to include all the ones I know...and also corrected some from a previous list that were wrong. I have put the start times of tracks in for everything, including the ones I have no idead what they are, (You'll see ????)

If anyone nows what the really sort clip is at 0:32:02 after funky reggae and before the undisputed truth you will absolutely make my day.

Hope this list helps (Sorry about the formatting)
