Ground Lift Media & Jugrnaut Chicago are teaming up on October 1st, 2010 to commemorate another successful year! Respectively celebrating their 4th & 3rd year anniversaries, together these companies have worked tirelessly towards promoting, nurturing, and building Chicago???s Hip-Hop and Urban Fashion scenes. Join us as we look forward to another 365!
Produced in conjunction with online media partners Rubyhornet.com & Fusicology.com, this anniversary concert will feature performances by Universal/Motown recording artists Pac Div (the official Grown Kids Syndrome album release concert), local legends Mic Terror, Que B.I.L.L.A.H. & Timbuck2, as well as DJs TREW (of Ground Lift Media), Matt.Boy.White., & Manny Muscles (both of Jugrnaut). As an exclusive anniversary bonus, Ground Lift Media will be hosting a contest where local musicians can register to win an opening slot on an upcoming Ground Lift Media-produced event! Boasting a concert resume which includes sold out shows with national recording artists like Little Brother, Wale, Mayer Hawthorne, Blu, & Tanya Morgan; Ground Lift Media concerts offer artists high levels of focused exposure, promotion, and branding. Entering the contest is a simple 3-step process:
#1 If you're an artist or group, pick your best track & convert to a 192kbps mp3, tagged.
#1a If you're a DJ, pick a mix and upload to soundcloud, zshare, or other streamable file host.
#2 Grab your artist press kit (a sonicbids url, .pdf epk, most recent album one-sheet, or other press info)
#3 Send both items in one email to contest@groundliftmedia.com
Submission deadline: September 30th, 2010. 5pm CST. All genres / styles are accepted but keep in mind we focus mainly on Hip-Hop, Funk / Soul, Electronic, and related concerts.
Winner is determined by Ground Lift Media's advisory board consisting of Chicago Industry professionals (label owners, studios, engineers, djs, producers, and promoters), so put your best foot forward! One (1) live performance act AND one (1) DJ will be selected.
