Living in Phoenix over 2 years, I think I saw about 8 butcher covers pass through peoples hands. Apparently its easy to find them in Phoenix, as a good amount of them were distributed to Phoenix before the recall/ban. The shop I worked at part time, Revolver Records had at least 3 copies come into the store just over the past year

Here in Portland 2nd states are not uncommon.
1st state are kinda rare.
That cat related stuff is still "epic" Internet running gag status? While we're at it, what is so damn funny about "FAIL!" and "bacon", anyway? Sounds like cornball shit to me.
^^^Not sure why Perry is cashing in on this during the middle of Summer. If he saved it for Xmas, I'm sure he would have doubled whatever this will end at. Just sayin'.
I guess no one will ever know how much heat damage the record got from shipping it in August.
uhhhh...the $1,625 is 2nd state...the 17k copy is 1st state...BIG difference...plus I dont even see the "black triangle" of ringo's turtleneck on that yesterday and today..might not even be a 2nd state butcher..
Seriously???...keeping track of that stuff is folls work.
I???d rather call it the Beatle???s Baby LP than to intimately know all the variations.
sorry, it was my job at the record store I worked at to get top dollar for all raers...me knowing this stuff helped in doing that. I dont think I was a "fool" to try and increase my knowledge base to in turn increase my commission. Only an idiot wouldnt care about money at their JOB.
1st state...the baby cover as originally intended
2nd state...baby cover covered up with the Yesterday and today graphic
3rd state...a yesterday and today that has been peeled off to expose the baby cover
the numbers on the back by the RIAA symbol..corresponds to a particular plant where the record was pressed and covers printed...certain factories used water based glue...ie easy to dissolve the glue, easy to peel...some plants used a different kind of glue making them hard to peel, thus less desirable to foks planning to peel 'em

I heard she talks to cats
Not that it would matter, even if the buyer did open it. The LP is worthless in this context.

Cityboy: what are your feelings about BOSCOE?
hey, where was that thing where you had to post a picture of yourself.
POST A PICTURE SWEETHEART...
Cmon! Cats are hilarious!
For example, this is a far superior visual representation of "asshat" than some backside disguised as Nick Nolte airing itself out.
last it was jawn, this week its asshat. i reckon i learn about more new words then records on soulstrut
keep it up fellas
$17,050.

That's not a butcher cover.

Knowing the difference between a butcher cover and a non-butcher cover is pretty fundamental, imo.
b/w
