Step Up 3D?!! R U SERIOUS?!!

Let's just start out by saying that current dance movies SUCK!
Now, I can understand movies like Avatar, the Pixar movies, etc. But a dance movie??!! I always thought the purpose of a 3D movie was to see stuff that is rarely witnessed in real life. I can go to the club and see any idiot dance in front of me and step closer so that said dancer's legs or arms are "coming right at me". I feel this is a ploy to make a wack movie seem good. Dance movies are bad enough and I don't think 3D is going to help. What do the fine people of the Strut think??

    Speaking of dance movies, is Flashdance worth a rewatch? It's been almost 30 years since I saw that and i only paid attention to the Rock steady part.

    Maybe 3D Dancing is the first step in many more 3D things: cooking shows, pornography, YouTube videos of cats, etc. Soon we'll be able to purchase 3D glasses from the corner liquor store, and major designers will be creating fancy pairs so you can read your 3D text messages in style. Wouldn't it be great if designs on t-shirts and sneakers that looked normal would suddenly be "coming right at you" when you're wearing your 3D glasses? Endless possibilities.

    No on any dance movie in 3D or 99% of movies in general for that matter.

    I don't know, for me a cheap monster movie is the perfect thing to go and watch in 3D. Fuck a load of blue ecowarriors farting about for 3 hours, I'd much rather have a short and sweet 3D experience of teeth gnashing and blood spurting.

    I assume it's no relation to the superb original though even if it was it couldn't do more damage to the idea than Mr epic 3D himself Cameron's sequel bitd.

    dumb movies should be in 3d and real movies should be in 2d. I haven't seen a 3d movie in a theater since Captain EO, so I may not know what I'm talking about, but I feel like a story driven movie with substance has no real need for 3d. Fluff on the other hand should be in 3d.

    so much for only IMAX movies being in 3D, its nuthin more then a gimmick imo...its bullshit! it wont be until "sex and the city north pole" comes out in 3D when the masses scream wack!

    now its tv's, shitty ass glasses....meh! whats next...3D tv's on fridges, in cars....pffft

    but that does get me thinking, some concerts might very well be dope in 3D....for the extra in yo face feeling...

    I went to a Cypress Hill show in 3D once. I got soaked by some third dimensional bong water, but the awesome thing was that my clothes were still dry in reality.

    i dont know if the 3d movies are annoying me as much as the 80's remakes of movies....some just told me this morning that a "back to the future" remake was coming how the shit do they do that without Michael J Fox...i mean come on...
