Those look like reissues; you can tell from the backwards printing.

I hit a "boutique" today and traded a small stack of lame library records. Here's what I pulled:

Couldn't get down with that Rahni Harris... Nice pick-up though on the MJK... How's the Colon 'Wanted'?

ooh shiit, coincidence, yeah i do see what you mean, very much alike, both name and letter types, well other than that these two joints have nothing in common..

and regarding the Spencer Davis track, no this is not a cover version, but thanks for the comments fellas!

Me too! This one is my 2nd copy, I can finally get some double action going. That joint has so many breaks. A lot of dudes sleep on that record, maybe the motorcycle turns them off.

    Sapho is a reissue.
Was especially happy with the EX mono copy of Eddie Lockjaw Davis for $19.99 on the bay. Such a great record.
Karolak is a spare. Get at me if you are interested. The sleeve is pretty worn but the record plays nice.

    ^^^^

Crazy that "Fastness" was released in Argentina!

Slow weekend here in the East Bay, but nabbed a couple things regardless:

NM copy of this funky and slept-on JPT LP

Nice copy of this for $5 at a spot in SF. Pretty diverse musician from what I hear.

Got this for $0.99 on ebay

Got this in a trade at the Groove Merchant. Recognize the cover art from the back?

Found in Notting Hill Soul Exchange i presume? i passed on it just this Friday gone down there!

I found nothing[/b] this weekend in London. I hope the June Olympia fair is good, or i'll be throwing in the towel on record stores down there for a while!

    Bootsale finds, Sunday

    Excellent funky jazz fusion

    Impressive britfunk

    Infectious electro-ish disco pop fodder

    Freeez - bloody awful
Direct Drive - Hardcastle related "corker"

    Jimster catnip

These Scandifunkers have hitherto proved disappointing, but this is my new favourite summer JF soundtrack.

More of that cheap and vastly slept-on cd-only library stuff, via the mailbox
