Candido's Funk - Publishing

My friend needs to know who is the publisher for "Candido's Funk" (on Candido's "Drum Fever" LP). I don't have the LP, although I do have the song on a polydor "Move to Groove" comp cd, but it doesn't list the publisher. Google provides nothing. Soulstrut massive, can someone who has this lp check the publishing credits for me?

    Thanks, are you sure that isn't the label subsidiary? I looked it up and it looks like a label, not a publishing company. Is there anything like "XXXXX Music, ASCAP or BMI"?

    Try Ascap and BMI sites.

    ASCAP, BMI, and Copyright Office searches have turned up nothing.

    Just bootleg it, the "cease and desist" letter will give you the info you need

    This isn't for a sample or reissue, my friend just needs to know who owns the publishing.

    If it's Lexington Co Ltd, as FejMelba says, then that goes through Universal Music Publishing. Might be worth giving them a call.
