Wouldn't you have your passport with you from entering Europe?

I'm not even sure if they still check for passports except when entering Switzerland and other non-EU countries of course but I wouldn't know, haven't crossed broders on a train in 25 years...

Where are you going and when?

I'll be in Europe from late June to early July.

Actually, Switzerland (not EU) are the only ones who will do passport checks.

edit: as mentioned by Frank... They are harsh as fuck if you are wearing a burkha or something.

I did the train thing through Europe a few years ago (didnt go to Switzerland though) and the only time my passport was checked was when I took the eurostar from London to Paris...and when I got off the ferry re-entering the UK.

That makes sense as I was going from Switzerland into Germany.

So what happens if you don't have the proper stuff??

Besides sending you back to Romania??

when we were young and traveling around Europe, one of my friends left his passport on the roof of the car when we left Munich. He had to go to the consulate and was issued a travel document that allowed him to visit Germany, Austria, Italy and France (where we were headed) but he was not allowed to visit Switzerland or Czech Rep as they were not EU. So we have to modify our travel plans a bit. Less cheap beer, more cheap wine. But he wasn't locked up at any point.

Germany is also cracking down on the Hell's Angels right now after a couple of recent killings in clashes with rivals Bandidos but they all look more like neon nazis on steroids than bikers these days so you shouldn't really be mistaken for one of them.

Are you in Europe right now and missing your papers or what?

What proper stuff do you mean besides your passport?

I've traveled through Europe when they have only asked if you we a holder of an E.U. passport. If you said yes, they moved on. If you said no, they asked to see your passport.

Mopeds, that's pretty funny....they need to protect their brand better than that.

Lots of people assume I'm a biker..... or in a Heavy Metal band....or a Professional Wrestler(in the 80's I was approached at least 5 times by kids who thought I was Freebird Michael Hayes)......even Gregg Allman once at O'Hare Airport by two porn stars.

haha... happens when you're typing booklets all day.

I envision an Electroclash duo covering Skrewdriver songs.

Wanna move to Williamsburg and start a band?

My friend has a record label!

And we should inject ourselves with steroids and ride motorcycles!

We'll send Roc to the airport to cast the dancers for our first video clip
