Driving into work yesterday I saw a CD rack full of CDs next to the trash can in front of a house that was obviously vacated and then cleaned out by the landlord. So I pulled around and put the whole rack in my car. Turns out I got about 75 r'n'b/hiphop CDs from the 90s, half of which weren't in the cases, and all of which were used as sandpaper test surfaces. In any event it was a PostModern Soul (and Post Modern Backpacker) bonanza.

    Some examples -

Gang Starr: You Know My Steez
    D'Angelo: Brown Sugar
    KRS-One: I Got Next
Jodeci: Diary of a Mad Band
    Prince: Hits/B-Sides
Adina Howard: Freak Like Me single
Adina Howard: It's All About Me single
    Marvin Gaye: In Concert
    Yo-Yo: You Betta Ask Somebody
    Omar: Saturday
    Gerald Levert: Love & Consequences
    Love Jones soundtrack
Monica: Like This & Like That
    BlackStreet: s/t
    Digable Planets: Reachin'
    E-40: Sprinkle Me
    Big Mike: Somethin' Serious
    Jayo Felony: Whatcha Gonna Do
Lost Boyz: Music Makes Me High single
    Boyz II Men: Christmas Interpolations
A couple of bootleg mix CDs
Zapp & Roger: All the Greatest Hits
    Isley Brothers: Mission to Please
    and of course
R Kelly: Born in the 90s

Strangely enough they all smelled not of incense but of Bounce fabric softener, and were all covered with lint.

Scratched CDs and your own clothes dryer to put next to them?
