Do you know of any movie stars that are serious vinyl collectors? I know Matt Dillon has a sick latin collection. After seeing High Fidelity I wondered if John Cusack was into vinyl. Who else do you know of?

If I was in Ikea getting the expedit, odds are I'd be really friggin' stoned...so basically if someone stared at me really hard...I'd prolly giggle like a mug.

scrolling down the picture is like watching a slow motion car wreck. the break in his jeans is the body flying through the windshield.
There's that scene in High Fidelity where some crazed gripper type is trying to get them to sell him some tepid lp, that they've been keeping behind the counter. They refuse, just to fusk with him. But the 'cool' black dude calls them on it and asks them if they'd sell it to him, they agree, so he says they're snobs.
This is one of those scenes that builds the characters and tries to illustrate just how well the author knows his subject, the vinyl junkies and record shop nerds. Maybe Nick Hornby does, unfortunately none of the dudes involved in the movie do.
Because..
Whilst they all watch dude make his speech, about how they're snobs etc for agreeing to sell him this lp, he's holding it, gesturing and emoting with it. Only he's holding it right at the corner and waggling it. With each waggle you can see the sleeve bending and SHOCKER!! beginning to crease. This is meant to be some cherished behind the counter rekkid! I know some record shop owning freaks who would physically eject you from their stores for behaving in such a manor. And this is how we know they are not true record fiends.
