This was true until two years ago. If it helps, my insurance is through my wife's work, a large company based out of Rochester, New York.

Valley Springs might not be in the middle of no where, but you can see it from there.
I'll say BS of CA. But I'm surprised there are even doctors way out there. Maybe Wellpoint.

Or you can get private insurance that is cheaper than it is in the US.
I have US health insurance here that is part of a university program.
