Rodriguez show in PDX

visiting friends in Portland OR currently. my pal is in a band with a local dude who got picked up to be in Rodriguez' horn section for tonights show, so dude hooked us up - but we were just gong to see him play, I didnt know the band he was playing in till we got there: "wait, THE Rodriguez?? youre kidding me right?". Amazing suprise. Hell, I didnt even know Rodriquez was touring at all till i saw a reference in a Mojo mag the other day, and had NO idea he would be in PDX while i was here....this show was phenomenal!!!!!! DO NOT MISS IT if you have the chance!!!!! he played all the great songs, was funny, humble, gracious, and cool, and his backing band (who opened the show as the also excellent "The Fresh And Onlys") were stellar."aged... aged.... there is no age. Youre either alive... or dead... heh heh..."
