I thought Ozzy started writing lyrics on MOR, I knew Butler did the 1st 2...Ozzy created a Pop culture icon of himself flashing peace signs over his head, he was a hippy...granted not a SF hippy, and yes their street thug upbringing contributes a toughness about them, Im not disputing that...but as far as God loving, peace and love stuff...they were hippies.
