It's really f*cking good especially since it moves away from Latin soul/funk (a fertile genre well covered in the first volume) and gets deeper into Panamanian salsa and cumbia joints.

Agreed. That said, the Duncan Brothers joint is ridiculous.

People, get thine preorder skills correct!

Yes! I had to throw on the Freddy y sus afro latinos track from the first one right now. Beautiful stuff.

I'm surprised no one's done a straight up Fruko/Latin Brothers comp in the same vein (not like Fuentes doesn't comp the hell out of itself already though).

    Afrosound comp = very necessary.

    Got this recently. Feelin' it.

    Picks for favorite track?

Mine is: Papa Brandao Y Su Ejecutivos "Decidete Mi Amor"

The rhythm is insane. It's subtle, though. Listen.

Yeah, this has sat real well with me for the past few weeks.

Too many great tracks to name, but I'll try. The "Yassy" cover, Maximo, & Silvertones joints do it for me.

Seriously folks, cop this if you haven't already! The liner notes alone are worth the purchase of the CD. Very well put together.
