Here's a nice Los Angeles-based school band record. Who do you think should have won? The District Of Evolution "More Soul" The Byron Davis Quartet "Burning Spear" The New Revelation Gospel Choir "Let It Be" / "Let The Sunshine In"

    The Burning Spear was nice, too, though...nice drums on the choir one, too, but I gotta go with the Dyke cover.

    Yeah. Ebay find while searching for versions of Burning Spear, admittedly. At $10 total I can't complain.

    The cover of that record is sick by the way. I wonder if Phil Ranelin bit the idea.

    Don't know, but yeah that is a nice cover. Although, I feel I got ripped since I could've been there in person for only $1.50

    Be on the lookout for all those 70's battle of the band LP's I've found 2 so far and both are nice. Next time you come through I gotta drop that Pico Rivera bands version of "Chameleon" on your ears

    Sounds good. Dorsey High School is on there too, but I remember it isnt as upfront and recorded as well as those other 3 covers above. I think it was "*somethingsomething* Blues" and another LTSSI cover. Dont know how it compares to the Dorsey High LP you got
