    A girl once explained to me the difference between Rap and Hip Hop like this:

    Hip Hop is more like funky, like the music you would dance to while rap is more like hard real hardcore like Gangsta Rap.

    It was very entertaining.

    Hip Hop has a lot more different elements, including cuisine, fashion, woodworking, etc..
    Rap only has rapping as its main element

    I think the answer is obvious now:
    Hip Hop > Rap

    I think staffs fall under the category of "woodcarving", which more of a rap thing. i.e. One involves a bunch of tools, the other just involves rubbing one tool back and forth - aka- rap hands.

    or something like that. rap vs. hip hop can get pretty confusing.
