I like La Lupe, but I'm not sure that counts as a Fever cover.
why not?
IIRC, all she did was sing the song in a foreign language - that dont change nothin
More than just change the language, but I was just kidding anyway.
Yeah, I don't even think I've played my copy that often, but I have a vague recollection of it being totally en espanol...first few bars sounded predictable, so I didn't make it to the end.
HONORABLE MENTION: Joe Tex's answer song "Pneumonia." Tex claimed to have partially cowritten "Fever" - it was supposedly his idea to give it a rhythm similar to "Sixteen Tons." He didn't get a co-writers credit, and then King Records released his 45 at the same time as "Fever," and guess whose record sold the most?
So a pissed-off Tex recorded and released "Pneumonia," a NASTY answer song - "put your cotton-pickin' hands on me, I'm gonna hit you with this rocking chair! You got PNEUMONIA..."

Little Willie John!
Elvis did a version with just bass and finger snaps, right?
Neville Brothers do a real good group harmony version on a live lp.

Bart: "Kill me."
