Anyone know which of his LPs has the song "Juazeiro" on it?

45 only, released between his 1969 and 71 album.......featuring Toni Tornado on vocals. I recommend both of those albums if you dug the sound of "Juazeiro".

Which one is the '71? Is that Dom Salvador and Abolicao, or did he have another solo LP?

    Was the 45 on CBS?

    Thanx Az

  • 69 is the solo LP, featuring the heavy "Barumba"... 71 is the Aboli??ao LP. The 7" compacto is indeed on CBS.

as guy said, cbs 45 (1970), comes in an orange label. Forgot to mention, the other side is very dope too, featured on dj nuts' mix.

I also recommend his earlier mid 60's jazz output:

    Dom Salvador Trio

    rio 65 trio

    s/t (1967)

Hmm, what does the cover of the 1967 LP look like? I've got a pretty busted flea market copy of the "Dom Salvador Trio" record, which I think is from '65 and has him playing piano on the front...

(1967) - beware, there's a reissue from 1986 that has diagonal red lettering

    Salvador Trio (1966)

both of these are on Mocambo

Yeah, I've got the '86 reissue - but I think I paid about 10 reais for it, so it's nice to have either way...

ok $10 is nothing, the 86 reissue still fetches $30-40 I think.

better than me, I have neither.

10 reais actually! So USD$3. It was one of those Brazilian thrift stores where you just put the portable away, check condition, and figure for a buck or two you can take a chance... my copy is pretty beat though.
