assuming by underground we mean "something on an indie label" or some other metric, i'd add
which is just a damn fun record and:
which i'm listening to right now.
i also ride for some of the stuff mentioned in this thread. that first quasimoto record, that pbw comp (vinyl/ton. maybe 99 or so?) and the slum village album too. when i hear a lot of the stuff i used to listen to even 8 or 9 years ago, i wonder what i was thinking when i ponied up the cash for it.
How in the hell did 3sixmafia make its way into this thread?
Anyway, I forgot how much I liked "God Loves Ugly" back in the day. Jurrasic 5 Quality Control and the EP are classics. How about Mos Def "Blacker than both sides"? Blackalicious "Nia" is pretty damn good. Bahamadia "BB Queen". I'm trying to shift my mind back into first year of college when I was listening to this stuff heavy...Styles of Beyond "Megadef" was pretty ill. Probably a classic.

Perhaps by putting out dozens of underground records?
I mean, I can't speak for JB, but it's a thought.
Yea, but dude was talking about the record they blew up with on the mainstream. the fucka outta here. Get over your ironic preferences in rap and the NBA and get with the program. 93 til infinity bitch.
