    I just have to say, those ads are a little deceptive (even though they almost make me cry every time). She plays it out that if you're donating to the ASPCA you're helping ALL homeless animals. The reality is if you give money to the ASPCA, you're only giving money to the NY city animal shelter. Some people think the ASPCA is like the main dude in the world of SPCAs, reality is they're just another shelter. No SPCA is affiliated with another SPCA (I used to work for one) - it's just a name; the ASPCA was the first one. If you want to donate cool, but if you don't live in NYC and you want to help animals in your own city, donate to a local rescue. Just sayin'.
