Write Ur Own Reference Letter

I asked one of my professors to write me a letter of recommendation. He told me that since he's busy, I should just write the letter myself, and then give it to him to submit electronically to the program. He said to make myself sound as wonderful as I want.An interesting assignment, but I do not know where to start...If you all had to write your own a letter of reference what do you think would be the best adjectives, statements, etc. to include? Ideal reference letter-related.Humor is welcome ; )

He is the one who will be submitting it, not me. He will probably "add his own personal touches" to my letter once I get it to him. No real way for the program to know, as I have not mentioned any names on this forum, and he was smart enough to talk to me about it in person and not via email. Loopholes, you know?

These things are only meant to be one big long paragraph, just bust a move and write one even if it's a simple draft and then you can add to it. and then post it here, we can edit it for you.
i remember those giant lecture classes where you would ask the prof for a recommend and he would be like 'and you are....??'

I am privileged to write in support of my dear friend and student, Almond. Almond studied in my classroom and for close to three years, during which time I witnessed her tremendous growth and development. Nah on the real, I have actually done my own 'reference letters' in the past and the best way to do it is tto pretend your wirting it for another person, pick someone you admrie and who is talented in their field and then ad your name. I find it comes off more 'real' than if your consciously writing about yourself, cus you may either over do it or hold back on self praise....
Or ask someone succesful that you know to let you look at a similiar kind of letter they may have and copy the style and flow of that, tweeking when neccesary....
My 5 cents...
especially the part about the Hindi class picture, and the big-picture contribution to the campus.
then why dont you email her a few examples of letters that got your attention, help her write one that would get her admitted.....
We need more record collectors in powerful positions!!!
