font class="post"1b, 21b, 21oh, there was definitely some classic "verbal jam sessions" back then, it's just that you'll be looking at the list of topics, you see something that looks real interesting, then you note that the last response was a while backb, 21b, 21in cratedigger speak - i dont mind REISSUING threads, I'd just like to include some UPDATED BONUS TRACKS, if you dig my meaning...

font class="post"1b, 21b, 21Nah, there's no need for the OG Ghost Bumper to add on.. the rest of the board will take care of that soon enough.
2001-2005 were the days before non-record having Deej-type posters.b, 21b, 21b, 21The glory years are tough to re-create when you have people doing their best to make sure that mediocracy reigns supreme and record talk gets supressed or pushed to waxidermy.

font class="post"1b, 21b, 21I would definitely say 2003 - 2005 was the pinnacle. It was the perfect mix of record talk and also NRR stuff was really just coming to the forefront at that time (in a good way.)

Soulstrut landed on the heatrock, which turned some people on and burned other people out.
While we're reminiscing on how it was back in '04-'05, I've noticed that the breakbeat talk has subsided a little. And with all due respect, I can't say I miss it!
Back then, you'd see a thread titled, say, "DILLARD CRUME & THE SOUL ROCKERS." And you (or at least I) would think, wow, a thread on this album. I always wanted to know what the deal was, or if anybody had it. And then, all of a sudden, post number one: "Which song has the break?"
