I heard that a few weeks ago Melvin Bliss was on television being interviewed on this show that comes on in New York called The Rare Groove Revolution. Has anyone seen this and if so can anyone send me a copy?

  • Thanks, I saw this one when I tried googling "The Rare Groove Revolution" not too long ago. I've seen a few shows in NY and even some episodes online on youtube that were later taken down. From what I've seen thus far (as low budget as it looks) I must say dude is a pioneer for bringing something like this to television uncovering secret gems for beatdiggers.

  • The Rare Groove Revolution img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/krusty.gif" alt="" /1b,121b, 21b,121b, 21 img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ctix4ad.gif" alt="" /1 ---- BCAT style.

I caught an episode a few years back when i was staying at my sisters place in brooklyn. If i remember they featured harry niilson's rainmaker and a paul mccartney wings 45 with a break.b, 21b, 21Real low budget and kind of comical when they set the 45 on an easel and pan in and out for visual affect. still pretty cool that theres something like that on tv, public access no less.

  • Yeah, I caught that one too and the one where he showcased and played nearly the entire Eugene McDaniels "Headless Heroes" LP. I'm telling you, dude is like Kon & Amir, Arsenio Hall (for musical guests he's had perform on his show & interviewed) and Bob Ross (hence the easle showcasing records like a piece of art, lol!) all rolled up into one package. It's only a matter of time before we see this guy being interviewed in waxpoetics mag..
