The guy we have seen saying "that one" and jerking around the stage while laughing moronically is Candidate McCain. b,121b,121August of 2007 his campaign ran out of $$$. He went to New Hampshire and practically hitched hike around the state holding town hall meetings and shaking hands. People liked him when he had no campaign staff and he went on to win the gop nomination. b,121b,121After he lost in 2000 he had a choice. He could continue to forge a moderate middle ground that lost him the nomination in 2000, or he could embrace GW. b,121b,121For 2 years he bucked GW, most notably GW's idiotic trickle down tax cuts, and later tax cuts during war. But by 2003 he decided that the way to the White House was through GW and so he embraced him and most of his policies.b,121b,121Good things about McCain:b,121Strong stand against torture. (He did not win all he wanted, but he let his views be known and forced Bush to make a step in the right direction.)b,121b,121Willingness to compromise. b,121b,121Opposition to ethanol subsidies. b,121b,121Opposition to earmarks.b,121b,121His refusal to go along with the Clinton impeachment.b,121b,121Support of election reforms and publicly financed elections. (150mil wtf? It is obscene.)b,121b,121The way he will call for all Americans to support President Obama on Nov 5th. And he will mean it. b,121b,121b,121b,121b,121 img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/646.gif" alt="" 21 img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/595.gif" alt="" 21

font class="post"1b,121b,121He chose an idiot to succeed him should he pass on while on the job. I could live with John McCain as Prez if forced too, a President Palin would be simply one joke too far. It must not come to pass. b,121b,121This election is not over, please don't get complacent or listen to the tinfoil hats. Get out and vote for who you want to run this country and lets be done with this.

font class="post"1b,121b,121b,121McCain did not take a strong stand against torture. He just faked that he would by saying he believed waterboarding was illegal. However, when the bill came up, he voted with Bush. b,121b,121Earmarks are only bad if they are abused. McCain uses them too, he just passes separate legislation, its the same thing. b,121b,121Mccain supported publicly financed elections because it was obvious Obama was going to crush him in fundraising.

He was a "maverick" when it was convenient, and a complete and utter bastard when he thought it would get him elected. He's not a moron. He could have stepped up and stopped the Rove-ian BS whenever he wanted, and he didn't (still hasn't).

  • Yea honestly.... he seems like an alright human being... but he's a pussy... he completely comprimised his beliefs on some... i'll do whatever it takes to win shit.b,121b,121He sold his soul to the devil... i donno. I have no respect for him at all... Im sure he'd be fun to get all fucked up on prescription meds and whiskey with though.
