b,121b,121If these are the same polls that Drudge was quoting, they are out of date and methodologically unsound. b,121b,121h,121b,121b,121Yeah Drudge has been pulling shit out of his ass. The top story on his site is a McCain speach.b,121b,121http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2008/10/bad-spin-watch-drudge-touts-weeks-old.html

b,121b,121If these are the same polls that Drudge was quoting, they are out of date and methodologically unsound. b,121b,121h,121b,121b,121b,121I was suspicious when I saw them listed as "traditional" polling, as well as the suddenly incongruous change in direction. Drudge is a scumbag.
RCP, which supposedly has a GOP lean still has Obama up by around 6.8, which is the highest I've seen this season. b,121b,121For real - think about it: we're barely two weeks away from the election. Who the F*ck is really going to be that undecided right now? And who's going to switch their vote? THere will be some, of course, but right now, just based on momentum, six points could just be as well as twelve. A turnaround would require something *shocking*. That's why all the pundits have been touting the term "game-changing" when it comes to the only shot that McCain might have. But a few negative ads haven't done it, won't do it. It's not enough to chip away at Obama's lead - McCain, in the next two weeks, has to pull off 8 runs in 3 innings and that's only possible through a combination of improvement in his campaign AND some serious errors on Obama's part. b,121b,121So far, the dude has been unflappable. HE's weathered all the shit thrown on him and keeps stepping. The idea that he'll implode in the next two weeks is unlikely. So that leaves it to McCain suddenly becoming a political genius (despite having Palin hung around his neck) OR some act of God that will intervene in the GOP's favor (i.e. the terrorist attack scenario).
b,121b,121 b,121b,121We want people to go vote hard (wasn't that a johnny cash song?) for Obama. If they believe Drudge, then they vote.b,121b,121On a more serious note, I have been listening to liberal talk radio while workin' on the books at work and people are talking about voting Green Party because Obama is safe to win and the Green Party needs its 5% of the vote...b,121b,121 b,121b,121Ugh!

b,121b,121CNN's latest poll of polls:b,121b,121b,121b,121b,121b,121And the swing states:b,121b,121North Carolina/b1b,121Obama: 49%b,121McCain: 49%b,121b,121Ohio/b1b,121Obama: 46%b,121McCain: 48%b,121b,121Missouri/b1b,121Obama: 48%b,121McCain: 49%b,121b,121North Dakota/b1b,121Obama: 45%b,121McCain: 43%b,121b,121Nevada/b1b,121Obama: 47%b,121McCain: 45%b,121b,121Florida/b1b,121Obama: 51%b,121McCain: 46%b,121b,121Of course, right now Obama is out of the margin of error in enough states to tally 286 electoral votes, with 270 needed to win.
Quote:/font1h,121b,121Also, he appears to have the Latin vote sewed up, which came as quite a shock. At least three times, the crowd, which were apparently all Latin, broke out into spontaneous chants of "You ese! You ese! You ese!"b,121b,121b,121b,121It was crazy. b,121b,121h,121
b,121b,121I am saddened that this has taken a serious turn.
Quote:/font1h,121b,121Can we get a re-up? I remember not being too offended by it and that's saying a lot considering the subject matter. b,121b,121h,121

Quote:/font1h,121b,121The polls I've seen for OH all have Obama with a 2-4 point lead. b,121b,121h,121
b,121b,121Yeah. You would think the "poll of polls" would even all that out, but that's what the margin of error is there for, right? And, as you can see from the map above, CNN is longer considering Florida within the margin of error, which would yield 313 electoral votes for Obama. Not considering the five swing states still in play on that map.
