Nothing really rare, just good solid R&B 45s was what I was after & they pretty much grew on trees at the places we went. I heard about that latest lot at Real Groovy just before we left. I haven't seen them but Netti went through some of it & my friend Alan also. They reckon it is the worst lot they've seen there in ages. Netti pulled a handful of gospel soul 45s & Alan saw a whole box of the soul gospel 45s, but apparently there isn't much else, so any good gospel soul must have come from that lone box amongst all the other rubbish. Depressing, hopefully they get some better stock in for the summer. That Liberation Singers isn't too shabby.

b,121I don't own it nor do I speak for him, but I vaguely remember LordRadio came upon a handful stock of these and was trading them at a mini-meetup in LA several months ago. I think the musician was a former football player who briefly had a lounge soul music gig. There was a piano tune with nice drums as I recall.

font class="post"1b,121b,121it is a highly regarded/celebrated record among proto metal/hard rock collectors...although I have listened to it many time I listened to it again when you mentioned it to make sure I want confused...it is a top shelf early heavy metal LP. I guess you could call it "psych" ..it falls under the ebay rules of "psych": there is the appearance of distorted guitar and/or a wah wah pedal...
b,121Poobah - Let Me In LP. Sacred 1972 hard rock private press collector record out of Ohio. The perfect U.S. underground hard rock album with crazy art, back cover collage, great hard guitar rock sounds and some classic original tracks like Bowleen and Mr. Destroyer. It's been said that Live To Work very well could have been the inspiration for Joe Walsh's Rocky Mountain Way. Walsh had a copy of the album put in his hands back in '72, so the legend goes. A fine piece of Ohio hard rock history here. I'd ask more than twice this for a mint copy..I'm an old Poobah fanatic. ($299.00 vg+/ex-, vinyl has many marks but cover not bad except for mysterious staining on right hand side)
