    I heard that they talk about the weather constantly, and that's all they ever talk about it. (Speaking of which, today's weather was pretty interesting. Rain kept faking me out. It'd stop for a bit, and then it'd pour, and then it'd stop, and then pour.)b,121b,121I also heard they eat chocolate sprinkle sandwiches. The horror. (I actually gave one a try the other day. Pretty tasty actually. Chocolate and bread. Can't really go wrong.)

    So, I haven't tried the herring yet, but it's on the list. Where's your favorite frites place? I've been to Vleminckx on Voetboogstraat, and those were solid. I've also heard good things about Mannekin Pis on Damrak.b,121b,121While I'm at it, where should I go for the realest Surinamese and Indonesian joints? Actually, I'll take any food suggestions.b,121b,121And I'll definitely be at Struick.

    Dutch people are a jaded bunch, i can only really speak on Amsterdammers though, these poor bastards have the pleasure of watching their city get trampled all over by lager louts and potheads from all over the world.b,121b,121No wonder they are hard nuts to crack.b,121b,121when i first moved here i found them to be rude, but now i have lived in their culture for going on 8 years i know that it is mostly just a very low tolerance for bullshit and a tendency to get straight to the point.b,121b,121qualities i admire.b,121b,121Dutchies are cool, hell i married one and my two sons are little cloggies.b,121b,121hup Holland.

    font class="post"1b,121b,121The Amsterdammers are quite different from the rest of Holland which indeed may have to with the fact the whole city is flooded with tourists throughout the year.b,121Also Amsterdammers have a tendency to stick to the stuff that's going on in their own city and consider it to be the best there is.b,121If you look to the southern region of Holland (below the river we say) there's a certain kind of coziness that I kind of miss in the Randstad. People tend to stick together a little more and it's very easy for an outsider to get in.b,121A large part of the younger (25-40) crowd in Amsterdam seems to be kind of stuck up and too wrapped up in their own hipness.b,121b,121Nevertheless, a great city that I enjoy visiting a lot.
