Hook-Up pretty much covered the basics for a self-proclaimed rockabilly hater, but I wanna add one more...Dale Hawkins, who recorded for Chess and did the original version of "Susie Q" (later covered by Creedence Clearwater Revival).

When Hook laces you with that care package, ask for some Dale Hawkins!

    The Big Dogs:
    Elvis
    Jerry Lee Lewis
    Carl Perkins
    Gene Vincent
    Eddie Cochran
    Bill Haley
    Johnny Burnette

You can pick up comps by all those guys on the cheap, and keep a crowd looking for a little rockabilly happy. No need to steer clear of the big hits.

Everyone is on point....if you need to get a little more obscure the Imperial and Meteor Rockabilly comps are good too.
