    Yea, it looks like you would pretty much wack the records moving the fader.

    The geometry of the fader looks off. Might be the missing shadow thats throwing it out? Definitely photoshop.

    Where would you rest it when not playing a record?
    On the crossfader?

    This would not a tough project to put together. Pretty simple soldering after you strip the mechanics out of some portable tables. THe hardest thing would be finding/building the housing, but that would not be too tough. Plus, if you wanted you could throw some additional ampage, and decent speakers in it.
