    Mine was a gift so I didn't have a choice, but it's a Fujifilm A350 and it's pretty good. 54.2 mega pixels but I don't know what that means. But I think you want to get the most amount of pixels as possible.

    Also just check what's compatible with you computer.

    And yeah I think it also depends on how much money you want to spend, Fred. If you're looking for a straight professional joint you would probably send a good amount of cash but you can get one that will serve it's purpose for like a couple jawns.

    A good deal right now would be the Canon Powershot S70.
    It's got 7.1 Megapixels, which is a ton and very long battery life.
    Very nice lens that gives you a brilliant and extremely wide picture.
    came out about half a year ago and used to be $700+.
    You should be able to find one now for around $450.

    Never buy any electronical device that just hit the market.

    B&H in NY has pretty much the best prices US-wide.
