    Predatory lending practices. Flip over those credit card offers you receive and take a look at some of the bullshit they try and pull. Annual fees, administration fees, activation fees, etc. A $300 credit limit with $300 worth of activation fees.

    The best one I ever received offered a $10K limit with some huge activation fee. Like $300 or $400 or something. I did some research for the hell of it. Yes, $10K of credit that you could only use in their catalog. Of course their catalogs had prices like $250 for a toothbrush.

    Exactly. If I took up all the offers of credit I get in the mail I'd have enough of a credit line to finance the reconstruction of Iraq.

    If you have credit card debt, stop reading this thread. Cancel your cable, pack a brown bag lunch, start a small business and get yourself correct. Best thing you can do to fight this BS.

    I totally agree with your sentiments - but starting a small business can be an even better way to get into debt!
