Punch in the Stomach
thats the name of the game......at least for me these days.frikin crab from craigslist threated me with a felony charge for a wanted Ad I posted mentioning the non-profit radio station I work for. Being academically uninclined I could not afford to continue my 3rd year of shows. Later I get annonymous e-mails from the station. they were all personal and cheery on the surface but no signature. sure enough, a f*ckin co-worker, is trying to push me off. Sayin that I have no grounds for diggin since I have no more show.I know now I should just dig. It was my first wanted ad. Mention of the station was a big mistake but this dude created fake e-mail addresses and a fake persona to tool on me for it. then set what i believe was a faceless trap.what the muck....competition, sure, but where is the compassion??

After reading this at least 4 times, I still have nooooooooo idea what the hell you are saying...
Good. I thought it was just me.
Sounds kind of
Who is crab and what does he have to do with digging?
Have you forgotten the: "I will trade you records if you hang out with me and you are female"?
E-digging is where it's at!
I've tried a couple of times myself. It's deliciously cryptic ... keeps ya coming back.
What the hell are you talking about? Where is the compassion??
2. Someone from the station, maybe a fellow digger/dj where he used to dj at saw the ad and threatened him via email
3. Others from the station email him
4. illmonstu posts here to vent his frustration about people complaining about his e-digging tactics
5. Soulstrut acts confused
Felony charge? I do not even want to KNOW what you were advertising for on craigslist, dude.
Myself, I had to read it at least 3 times before I concluded I had no idea what is going on here.
this doesn't begin to explain the original post.
felony charges? what the hell does any of that have to do with a dude posting a record want add and getting fake msgs of interest from an anonymous co-worker?
illmonstu for dummies
on Craig's List and claiming he wanted them for his
radio show, and people from the station were contacting
him saying he shouldn't be using the radio show as a
reference point because he isn't on the air anymore?
I can kinda see that, at least, I know that "I have
a radio show" is a very effective way of shutting down the
paranoia of people who think you are buying their records to
"sell for a thousand dollars on the ebays" ... it works well for
me, and I think even if I didn't have a radio show anymore I might
still say it, although then again I probably wouldn't bother ...
... where does the felony come in?
Or is he talking about this:
where it had led him"
The game the same--it just got more fierce
fierce as
fierce.
Why you gotta put Tina Fey on blast like that? I keed, I keed.
Not cool. That's Chicago's own sketchillo.
better delete this thread
Fight for your right to Mangione, I suppose.
Ouch. Kick a man while he's down, why don't you? DICKens is more like it.
And, like all internet radio, no one gave a rat's ass.
Definitely a dick.
Uh, KOOP is a very popular local radio station in
Austin, TX, partnered with University of Texas.
Think WFMU but in Texas.
But hey, I hate to get in the way of one-liners.
As he was staring me down after whipping off his sunglasses, and fuming, mouth breating into my face (ick), I promptly reminded him that assault is at least a misdemeanor and aggravated assault is a felony.
Sticks and stones will break my bones but words will always hurt
...thee?
aahahahahahahahah!!
Oh, I was just using hyperbole. WFMU podcasts are totally necessary. But - as someone who once had a radio show for my local college radio station - I can honestly attest to the fact that not even the station manager was listening.
