AKA STYX IN A LANDSLIDE
Oh yeah. As someone who came of age when these bozos were dominating the charts, if I ever see that Kevin Cronin guy on the street I'm gonna grab his nose and twist like Moe Howard.
This hugely favors Styx in my opinion, their songs, while not good, are at least varied. REO basically kept making the same song. I'm going with Styx.
cosign. "lady" is my jam.
I think they played it on "its always sunny in philadelphia". they play some great music on that show.
I'll take the lobotomy please
Law man has put an end to my running and I'm so far from my home

Oh Mama, I've been years on the lam and had a high price on my head
Lawman said 'Get him dead or alive' and it's for sure he'll see me dead
Dear Mama I can hear you cryin', you're so scared and all alone
Hangman is comin' down from the gallows and I don't have very long

How could you not like Renegade
Maybe because it sounds like it's being sung by Clay Aiken's effeminate brother??
HUMANS WITHOUT FUN GENES REVEALED
I bet you dig Journey too.
Especially the Steve Perry years!!!
They're OK ... funnily enough, I was going to
make Round 2 be STYX vs JOURNEY.
Just change the thread name to "WAR OF THE WUSSES"
I'm saving that for the big ROCKADELIC VS KALA thread!
Don't hold your breath......I'll bet $$$ dude has better taste than to dig Styx or Journey.
unfunny and non-sensical posts, my friend.
I'll let Kala have the last word on this one.
But your above post was pretty funny.
i'll take the lobotomy over styx/reo/journey
king crimson vs jethro tull would be more my game
or ELP vs Yes
neal schon and steve smith get a technical pass butt that ain't sayin much
this is my "I choose the lobotomy" question ...
... although I can get with some Fragile with the right drugs ...
They guy from REO just did this weird arm movement over and over that looked like he was taking a DUI test ont he side of the road. REO had a pretty good guitarist, but other wise BLAH!
You also have to give it to Styx for started the Mr. Roboto tour with a 15 min movie that constantly got booos!
Styx did songs about cocaine and wizzard!!!!!
REO did songs about girls and the Little Rascals.....
POST OF THE DAY
you guys could learn something from this dude.
This learns me all I need to know.....I mean, look at all those fans...and they are DIGGIN' IT!!!!!!
"This got the whole train rollin'"
Journey clearly buries both bands, although they never had a #1 single.
Wait a minute
Let me think
Ok
You know what
THEY BOTH SUCK!!!!!!
Sorry SoulOnIce
Please be serious. Foreigner reduces Speedwagon to dust.
It is not even a contest. I guess maybe 80's Foreigner has
some material watered-down enough to be comparable with R.E.O.,
but even the schlock is a laugher when placed head-to-head.
For example: the part right before the second verse in "I Wanna Know
What Love Is" where he goes "uuuunnnnnhhhhhhhaaAAAAAHHHHHAHHHAYYYAHHHH"
is total 80's face-shred, whereas the point in "I Can't Fight This
Feeling Anymore" where the vocals come in and dude sounds like an
8-year-old only child at his first Christmas recital is a low point
for masculinity in general and the 80's power ballad in particular.

Compelling evidence, to the say the least. Can REO even top Loverboy, then?
