    Turtles don't die of old age. Time goes by and they stop aging. Their cells don't die and their bodies don't fall apart. Thats why they live so long some times. They only die from predators or disease of whatever. As far as I know, nobody actually knows how long it is possible for a turtle to live.

    It is entirely possible that a turtle could be immortal.

    I was surfing yesterday morning and a huge sea turtle came up for air about an arms' length away from my board. I got a close-up eye-to-eye. It was cosmic.
