    These dudes aren't really doo-wop.

I think I upped the entire LP a little while
back ... when I'm at my home computer I'll
check for it, unless someone that dl-ed it
    here wants to re-up.

You also need to find and buy the LP.

that could be. i heard it on my friends satellite radio almost a month ago and haven't been able to forget it. i remember it as some beautiful soul with a lil bit of a oldies/doo-wop thing but i very well could be wrong. i'd like to give it a listen before tracking it down.

    what LP is it on?
looks like it just came out as a single: http://www.soulfulkindamusic.net/vandykes.htm

    It's on there.

And Sundazed reissued this on CD with bonus tracks.

Don't know if CD's are your thing, but I thought I'd put it out there.

I definitely wouldn't call it doo-wop - when R&B became soul, that kinda kept the vocal group thing going for another decade or so.

    cool, thanks for the info.
its strange that the soulandfunkmusic link and this one (http://www.bsnpubs.com/bell/mala.html) don't include "you need confidence" in the tracklisting. but i see its included in that popsike one.

it'd still be great if one of youse can up it whenever you get a chance so i can see if its really as good as i remember!

I was right, I did - don't want to upload the
whole LP here, but here's the track:

Divshare is down, so no embed, sorry. In fact,
I would have had it up earlier but I kept trying
with divshare and having it crap out.

If people want me to re-up the whole LP to RHTKD I will.

    dang, its a beauty!
lazer/SOI, i wouldn't be mad at all if the album were upped in

  • Fort Worth's greatest Impressions imitators! I love 'em...my fave is " Find me a Love" top shelf ballad with proto dub effects..killer delay on the snare, far out tune... If you find Van Dykes 45s on Federal or King, thats a different group, they are the doo wop Van Dykes...
