  • the program I use doesn't do gifs and i haven't figured out how to convert a swf to a gif yet.

    Check your publish settings in flash, you can export animated gifs right from there. Here you go mang:

    Yeah, I was gonna say. Rowan Atkinson is pretty funny. The Mr. Bean schtick is for 7-year olds, though.

  • can you explain how you did that? Did you do it in a flash player?

    I am using image ready to make them and gifs aren't an option for exporting.

    Hi,

    I opened up flash 8, imported your SWF file, went to publish settings, tweaked the color palatte, etc. Then published it.

    You can use imageready to export animated gifs too, but it is kind of obscure and a pain in the ass, i think you need web slices or something? Now even photoshop has animated gif capabilities: http://designorati.com/articles/t1/photo...-imageready.php

    I prefer fireworks for creating them from scratch, much more intuitive.
