Was that the break you posted in that last post-some-drums thread?

  • Great funk 45's

Mind listing those 45s? I see something on a certain Florida Label that I can't quite read (Little Ricky or Human Race?). Are these field finds?

i am typing from my basement.

    HELP ME.

I found a dead possum in the crawl space under the back of my house. Now I know who to call when I find a carcass to have it disposed of.

I like that Dynamics record. Inexpensive and quality sweet soul LP.

True. I found one a few weeks ago in the new arrival bin at Amoeba. Despite that it is the recent reissue for $4, I couldn't pass it up. I have to agree. I wish I had their Cotillion LP

    thrifts, fleas, and yard sales

phil flowers/united family lp. sealed marvelettes lp orig in there. amadou balake has a couple of really awesome tracks on that one. rare jackie opel in there too. lps from a couple of fairly obscure gospel groups-- the thrashing wonders 'i've come from a long line of poor folks' is an incredible gospel guitar r&b/soul rockin record.

black flag with pettibon poster in it. the spikes - mid-80s aussie punk. harry crews is lydia lunch with sonic youth people.

pf boot is one of many boots i found. others are for resell. metallica jump in the fire - red vinyl.
italo disco 12" from doctor's cat. pretty good.
also -- 'intensified sex for couples' these sex records never cease to amaze me. this one is absolutely without a doubt the most ridiculous one i've heard yet. it is designed to 'put one in the mood' to listen to (you are advised to listen to it everday for a month and your results are better sex) and as the narrator put it 'to arouse'--you hear frank sex talk with a man saying all hushed, "now...lick my penis..put my penis it in your mouth". i couldn't get past that point from laughter. hilarity on a

hazleton, pa 60s garage group ognir and the nite people (2nd copy, but i think the other version i have is the later major label version when they got signed)

a number of 45s-- of course-- the MINGERING MIKE one in there.
also some punk/post-punk from social climbers (on gulcher), scarab, eternal (a sarah records group), the adult net (featuring a cover of the falls 'rebellious jukebox with female lead vocals),
other soul/reggae/gospel/funk 45s from -- georgie woods (the guy with the goods) - potato salad part 1/2 (philly gritty fun r&b/funk), dave gardner-fat charlietom and jeroo- papa chew do the boogaloo, back home choir - climbing high mountains/he's so mighty, the cruisers - if i knew/miss finem, bobby story on proud, denzil laing & larry mcdonald - the dragon's net/suki suki, keith cole on editions makossa, maureen tomson, fist-o-funk, the shepards, the videos, the imaginations..and more that were not pictured.

I love Forest Flower; it's the record that sold me on Charles Lloyd. Now I consider him to be one my favorite reed players.

As far as I'm concerned this the band is the best he played with. Keith Jarret and Jack DeJohnette are just coming into their mature styles, which is really exciting to hear. And Cecil McBee is just tremendous.
