    It's sad that they just don't fix the goddamned fader design.

    I fashioned my own inserts with an unused pipe/faucet screen.

    you mean taping pennies to the sides - ha! I used to do that with this old school Numark mixer I had back in the mid-90s. I'm not trying to go there. I just need to upgrade my shit.

    Problem with the pennies: makes your face plate bow, and the tape tends to slip with repeat banging. (pasue on down to the power exchange)

    I just put a litle duck tape on each side of the slit on the cover plate.
