Nice find, is it studio outtakes or live? From what I understand there's at least a few bootleg-only songs (I was really irritated that the box didn't have that stuff)...
Pretty damn good haul for a garage sale if that pic is any indication...
Curtis Mayfield - In Chicago The Impressions - Finally Got Myself Together Smokey Robinson & The Miracles - Four In Blue Billy Paul - Going East Gladys Knight & The Pips - All I Need Is Time
I had never heard that Curtis In Chicago before..the good Curtom records are pretty difficult to find up here. Impressions is a much needed upgrade, my last copy was kinda beat.

Well, you should just register w/popsike - it's free and takes 2 seconds ... but it's a 2006 eBay auction for the same record that ended with 11 bids at $194.00 ...

Maybe I should post some more pictures of my finds today.

I checked all my other records on that site this morning. I couldn't find anything for Sid Barrett. Sounds like you can dig deeper with an account, which I did not know.
Armand Van Helden - Funk Phenomena (US Remixes) Playgroup - Front To Back (Part 1) DJ D*Ekline & Eds*Lo - The Gutter Futter Mash Potatoe Till West & Dj Delicious - Same Man Tori Amos & CJ Bolland - Professional Widow + Sugar Is Sweeter Mr Oizo - Moustache Mr Oizo - Flat Beat Switch - A Bit Patchy (German Pressing) Switch - Get Ya Dub On Peven Everett - Sexy Make-Up Dimples D - Sucker DJ Royal House ??? Can You Feel It Daft Punk ??? Burnin??? (Remixes)
Sounds like you can dig deeper with an account, which I did not know.
No - I just dug deeper by searching for less.
It starts asking you to create an "account" once you've used it a certain number of times, that's all. You'll need to register soon, it will keep asking.

Done... much obliged sir. The website that shall not be named will not be spoke of again.
Joe Tex[/b] "The Love You Save" (Atlantic/ Dial) - I've always loved the title track, one of the GOATs. How is it that such a soulful singer that was hittin on all cylinders in the 60's got so crappy in the 70's? Etta James[/b] "Rocks The House" (Argo) OG mono press Main Ingredient[/b] "Black Seeds" (RCA) Carolyn Franklin[/b] "If You Want Me" (RCA)
Joe Bataan[/b] "Salsoul" (Mericana) Rance Allen Group[/b] "A Soulful Experience" (Truth) Doris Duke[/b] "I'm A Loser" (Canyon) Modulations[/b] "" (Savoy) - Late 70's Gospel group featuring future modern soul singer Glenn Jones.
Jaydee[/b] "Come On In Love" (Warner Brothers) - Barry White produced soul LP from '74 (2 copies) Novella Nelson[/b] "s/t" (Arcana) - best album I've heard so far from my pick ups, live recording with some gospel tinge to it. A nice lo-tempo version of "Dock Of The Bay", but my favorite track is a traditional song called "Guns n Drums" Wax[/b] "Do You Believe In Magic" (RCA) - first good modern soul piece I've got in a while Brighter Side Of Darkness[/b] "Love Jones" (20th Century) - surprisingly great album, I always assumed this was pure turd, I love it that I was wrong
I've almost bought that Novella Nelson a few times, but always had a warning vibe, like it was a trap record and I would be disappointed ... maybe I'll go pick it up, I know where there's a cheap copy. Is it like an Esther Marrow or something?
The missing Cargo LP was made up with my finds today.
Village Callers LP Scientist - Rids the world of Vampires Little Richard - Rill Thing The Yellow Balloon (Caterbury) The Generation Gap Plays Themes from Shaft Bliss (Canyon records)
Not my image since my camera's flash is dead, don't get an Olympus!
Yeah, it's great. I paid $10 for my copy at a record convention today. It's funny because it's the last record i grabbed today after about 2 hours since the start of the convention.
I've always heard there was a good Rance Allen LP but have been disappointed with every one I've found.
Is that the "good" one??
"aint no need of crying" ...great song. i believe its on that record
I like a lot of the Rance Allen LP's I've heard. Every one except for the first one, the one from '79 and the one from '83 have rubbed me the right way (I don't remember any of their titles).
This one hasn't hit the turntable yet but I know the one on capitol produced by the mizell brothers is considered the most desirable

definitely not like the Esther Marrow LP's. It's a live album with more of loner folk vibe than a soul one. If you are familiar with William S. Fischer it may paint a better picture, he produced this album. There is a slight bit of beat-heavy niceness on the track "Coldwater Flat" but don't pick it up thinking your getting soulful gospel. I'll probably just record and waxidermy it so you can sip the juice
Ice T is sealed. Top Right is Hollis Crew 12" Bottom Right is Rhythm Makers Ltd. "party rap" 12" on StarVision Center is Todd Terry "bee boys" 12" on EasyStreet 45s are BDP "my philosophy" & Solomon Burke "get out of my life woman" "Breakdance" cassette

I keep trying to get into this record. It has one track I like but the rest doesn't do it for me at all. I can see why a modern soul fan might like it though.

hey i left that Impressions for you at HPB lol... you're welcome. Holler at me Bussy!
oh and this weekend i got a Dorothy Ashby- Fantastic Jazz Harp, a decent samba record called Partido em 5, and some dollar bin Charles Lloyd LPs on Atlantic
mixed in with a bunch of crappy chinese records which she also took a chance on. at least this one was a winner!
Scholar 1 on GFine Supreme Force on Nia (first freddie foxxx appearance) Troy the Wonder Boy on Cobbler
plus she also pulled:

The Novella LP is all about 'Long road home'......I've always kept it slightly but that cut has started a couple of mix tapes of mine. And her voice on LHR does sound remarkably similar to Esther Marrows.
thrifts and fleas (with exception of the numero group comp that i purchased new/sealed for 16--well under the price that most stores have that for)
duke ellingtons are all signed by him.
some more random rap 12"s --
45s--
latin soul/boogaloo 45 from orch. kool on fonseca
rare northern soul--
also other 45s from - ox (japanese garage single from 68), the maskmen & the the agents - stand up (part 1/2), the royaltones - poor boy/wail!, jj barnes - chains of love/baby please come back home, the pj's - my baby/tn. stud, long gone miles - hello josephine/little sweet thing , bobby lonero - little bit/the girl that i marry, fred waters - i wish for a miracle/it's a little bit late, the dreamers - mary's little lamb, i sing this song, revox cadets - tony goes to japan 7"
and...this kiss fan art signed from a 'june bug' in 1980--
they even used some glow in the dark paint stick or something for the dots on the costume and the guitar, so it lights up. wish i could get a night shot of that!
Yesterday was the best day I've had at a flea market in a long time, at least in terms of quantity of decent titles...
The covers on these had some water damage but the records were all very clean. That Charles Owens has some really great stuff on it if you ever see it around...
That Fotomaker LP sucks. I thought it was modern soul when I picked it up but it's 80s rock.

Second, the "Sid Barret" boot can go for much more
than just "$10-$50" ... witness:
