AND I HAVE ROCKED THEM ALL[/b]
hilarious!! you know me and theeecausualmale did a riveting Blaze of Glory duet here in J-Town a few years ago? i can't wait for the next strutter karaoke meet up so i can embarrass myself, internet-wise.
haha, that's a favorite among friends.
also i realized recently there are tons of led zeppelin songs i would love to be able to sing for karaoke but i can't mimick robert plant when he gets all banshee on the mic
why must i cry
man, last time i karaoked with soulstrutters i woke up next to a half eaten burrito lying next to me on the couch. i was told i got really drunk and was yelling at asprin about LA taquerias or some thing like that.
Kiss - Lick it Up
Starship - We Built This City
Pearl Jam - Jeremy
Pearl Jam - Black
Stone Temple Pilots - Man in the Box
Loverboy - Everybody's Working for the Weekend
...among many other butt-rock classics
I want to do Sinatra's - I Did It My Way next time I go out.
"all apologies"
this isnt surprising...
Michael McDonald - I Keep Forgetting
10cc - I'm Not In Love (only if all of those harmonies are included)
I'd love to do Bob Welch's Sentimental Lady. What a perve. Too bad that video was pulled from Youtube (at least it looks that way) ... the making out scenes are grotesque.
Al Green- Love and Happiness
*ok, not actually me - but I think I could do BETTER than the real thing!
This is my all-time sing-along jam.
GUY - PIECE OF MY LOVE (even the Aaron Hall bits)
Some of my karaoke favorites include:
-"One in a Million"-Larry Graham.
-"Wichita Lineman"-Glen Campbell.
-"Just Once"-James Ingram.
-"Tin Man"-America.
-"Lately" and "Superstition"-Stevie Wonder.
-"Let's Stay Together"-Al Green.
-"Precious and Few"-Climax.
-"You Make Me Feel Brand New"-The Stylistics.
-"Deacon Blues"-Steely Dan.
-"You Are So Beautiful"-Joe Cocker.
-"Reminiscing"-Little River Band.
-"Just the Way You Are"-Billy Joel.
-"I Want to Be Your Everything"-Andy Gibb.
-"Here and Now"-Luther Vandross.
-"Easy"-The Commodores.
-"Back in Love Again"-L.T.D.
-"Summer Breeze"-Seals & Croft.
-"We've Only Just Begun"-The Carpenters.
-"Turn Your Love Around" and "This Masquerade"-George Benson.
-"Dust in the Wind"-Kansas.
Peace,
Big Stacks from Kakalak
"Strokin'" - Clarence Carter
Bobby Caldwell - 'What You Won't Do For Love'
Tatsuro Yamashita - 'Merry Go-Round'
Straight-up murderous.
1. Sexual Healing-Marvin
2. Oh, Girl-Chi Lites
3. We Are the World
4. Kiss-Prince
Songs that I slay 'em with everytime
1. It's Not Unusual-Tom Jones (do not question my Tom Jones-you cannot top me)
2. The Race Is On-George Jones (I was once offered a job at a 'local' Las Vegas karaoke spot after drunkenly tearing up their entire country selection, this and "He Stopped Lovin' Her Today" had the dude impressed I guess- I declined as I was moving away a week after. I was also hit on by one of my bosses that night, tres awkward!)
3. Suspicious Minds b/w I can't Help Falling in Love With You-Elvis (gets the middle age moms seriously hyped)
4. Come and Get Your Love-Redbone
5. Beth-Kiss
as long as jim beam is involved.
prolly rather sing hybrid moments if possible.
