Over the last month a particular Australian record that I found puts me into a transcendental bliss. Even when I'm really annoyed I can throw it on and it just takes all the stress away from me in a matter of moments.

    Oh yeah, it's a bit

pulled this LP knowing nothing, and was blown away by its sublime-ness. i suppose i need a late pass as this is considered a modern classic i guess.

How is this record? I got "In Blissful Company" (how cool is the booklet!), and I??ve always wondered about the s/t.

as far as western music goes, it doesnt get anymore OG than this:

written in the 16th century, its a 40 voice choir singing in counterpoint to each other...far fucking out and seriously

    kranky records....oh my god.

these guys used to open up for my little space rock band 10 years ago...crazy they are still at it. We played with damn near every Kranky band and all of these bands' members were the most boring, stick in the mud folks I have ever met. So fucking unfun. It surprised me that such druggy sounds could come from such non-partying, sober, no personality having people. Actually the only person I ever played/toured with in the realm of neo-psych-spacerock-twiddly-stuff that wasnt a boing fuck was Willie Spaceman from Spacemen 3/Spectrum, that dude is dude...the rest...boring. I know this has nothing to do with the music...just rambling...carry on

Not sure why I'd be kidding.

As far as other Bo Hansson, I've also got Magician's Hat...but I only recall one track on there being a grand prize winner.

$5. Sealed. (Pic is from an unrelated eBay auction.)

I just cannot get over some of these songs. Absolutely beautiful.

The rarest thing Upchurch and Barge were associated with?

    This DEMANDS a reissue.

  • marvin - what's goin' on. i cannot help but be mellow and happy every time i hear this album.
