Used it for a good while and am constantly appalled / amazed at the number of people I come across who are on it. Pretty handy, though.

I considered it, many people recommended it, but I didn't feel like it.
I really should get invlolved on a career level. Networking for work purposes isn't natural for me, so I should focus on it. Its a part of the professional scene.

Although facebook is more social, Im all over that.

My girl just started working at Linkedin, so although I've been on it for a little while, I've been checking it out a lot more recently. They've added a lot of new features and their network is growing pretty fast. I think it's a pretty useful site, but it really depends on the type of field you're in. It seems to be geared more for the types of professional careers where one changes jobs every 2-3 years and people who do contract gigs - software developers, computer engineers, advertising, etc. I know there are a lot of hiring managers who use the site to hunt for new prospects, so as the amount of users keeps growing (they have about 13 million at the moment) it should be a pretty good resource for finding a job.

LinkedIn is the MySpace of career networking sites; Doostang is the Facebook (I'm on all four).

I'm on it and up to date. Just speaking for LA, everybody down here uses LinkedIn. It's a great way to get introductions and make connections in a professional manner. People who might want to work with you can view your entire history, interests, and network in one go.
