    I just paid $229 for an NM-/NM- gold label stereo copy, so I'm thinking that maybe you don't really want a copy of this record, considering your max bid.

    I'll relist it in high season.

    I can conclude only one thing about a man so desperate to convert a record to cash that he: 1) lists it in other than high season; 2) lists it unaccompanied by similar items; and 3) sets a reserve.

    And that one thing is this: he is in desire financial straits and likely leads a life of incredible deprivation.

    My heart cannot help but go out to such a man.

    Should the more privileged among us hold a charity auction for his benefit?
