Israel vibrations has to be one of my favorite reggae groups of all time! Seeing them live is serious inspiration!
Have you heard their "vibes" series? The interviews and versions are seriously nice!
Skelly vibes is my favorite out of the three.
They are one of my favorite live acts as well. Do they still tour? They had split a few times due to illness in such in the late 90's and early ots. I have seen them a handful of times altogether and just the 2. ( i think apple had left and come back at one point)

'New Wave' is the track I ride for. Found this on Youtube last night looking for jpegs. Doesnt really do the song justice though.
Didn't go home last night - crashed at someone else's house after hanging out at a local festival - but the last record on the turntable before I left the house was a 45 of Stevie Wonder's "I'm Wondering."

hell yeah, crutch dancin for days. I shared a spliff with doods at Sierra Nevada festival in Nor-Cal back in like... 2002 i think. I might be confusing them with abbyssinians though- memory of event is obviously hazy.
Even the Dusty Groove website had to come right out and admit this LP was a dog (when they had it)...
I've got Ira Williams's "Long Lonely Night" (IV God's Glory) on the platter. What a pleasant surprise. Before that, it was The Soul Inspirers Of Detroit, Mighigan with "Oh Thou" on D-Town's venerable Designer label. The latter is from 1971 and features the lowest bass vocal I've ever heard. Ever. The former is a lengthy, meandering solo piano/vocal piece that carries a great late-evening spiritual feel. From 1978, but timeless as Heaven itself.
