    He was in his late 60s or early 70s when he turned his attention to the violin, appearing twice on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson.

    "Nobody played violin like him," said his son. "Chicago's a poorer place without him."

    Wow.

    Very sad - RIP Frigo. Thanks for the music, humor, and humbleness.

    I found "love, american jazz" in a thrift store and it completely turned my head around on obscure jazz-funk.

    Chicago Jazz Rock indeed.

    He was 90 and lived an amazing life! No better way to go and nothing to be sad about. Dude was like the Army....did more before 9am then most of us do all week!!

    Anyone have some U-Tube????
