I'm probably one of the few that generally doesn't watch movies. My favorite movies are those that get right to the point. But do so in a dramatic way. I can appreciate good camera work and stuff like that as well. Some of the more recent movies I saw which I liked very much were Knockaround Guys and A Guide to Recognizing your Saints. But really I'm open to anything. Name me some of your favorite flicks that you recommend.

May I recommend "Shawshank Redemption" to you? Its a bit old now but I really like that film.
this was quite good as well:
No doubt. One of my favs.
Oldboy
there is a recent DVD reissue available
I was disappointed with this flick. Its hyped up as banned cinema but its really just boring.
Are you serious? I hate this movie with a passion...Nicholas Cage is my least favorite actor ever! Recent movies that I have been feeling are "the Prestige" and the classic "Donny Darko"...
Here is one that i really do enjoy! Loving the old cheeser non usa movies right now.
YES.
El Topo is tight! I still gotta see The Holy Mountain, thats on my list for viewing real soon.
This is nice:
Love this film, and the director's "Le Samourai" even more. For me, the epitome of the ill late 60s/early 70s French gangster film. Stark, mysterious, tense, and very stylish.
-City of lost Children-
-Midnight Cowboy - Dustin Hoffman and John Voight 1969
-Stoked -the rise and fall of Gator
Now there's a classic. When he's stuffing his own brain back into his head ... that's cinema right there.

Perhaps you're joking. If not, you should know that the Nicholas Cage version was a remake. You are quite right in hating that version. However, the original 1973 film (the one Hugh was referring to) is excellent and well worth checking out.
Although I don't know how hilarious it was. More like a complex drama with a few funny moments.
def gonna check this one again very soon!
