    Good game!!!

I live one block away from Soldier Field in Chicago and could hear the crowd roaring. The TV broadcast on Univision (only coverage on basic cable was Spanish) was a few seconds tape delay, so I heard each goal before I saw it.

This game could have gone either way. I was honestly surprised the U.S. took it, but definitely glad. That was such an awesome volley for the second goal. It was a little embarrassing as the large local Mexican population easily outnumbered the U.S. fans.

Yeah, it's crazy how the US has a hard time finding
a "home field" in the States, especially when playing teams
from Latin America ... they were saying Foxboro may be the
closest thing they have to a home field, if only because
they are undefeated there. Though there were plenty of Panama
fans here in MA two weeks ago, as well.

That second goal was a thing of beauty, and thankfully
the goal that won it was without controversy, as was most
of the match, after that lame finish against Canada.

Just as Canada is starting to play as a real team they get screwed! Still a very good showing, nice to see them not ranked in the 90s finally.

I was hesitant to mention that, cause I knew
a bunch of angry Canadians would show up

That entire US/Canada game was horribly officiated,
it should have been over 2 minutes before that play ever
happened, but, yeah, you guys got screwed. As someone
rooting for the US team, I can tell you it felt pretty
hollow to win on such a bad call.

Dudes on your team looked BULLSHIT after the game, I'm
amazed refs can just sit stone-faced with people all up
    on them like that

  • Good Game today.
It looked like Mexico was going to come back with a goal at the end there.

America's cup up next. Mexico V. Brazil first round.

i'm watchin the replay right now. castilla looks so solid, super good player for mexico. up through the 65th minute, mexico has looked the stronger team (not really a surpise).

cool thing watching this game seeing how many players are over in europe right now. definitely would like to see N. America do much better in the 2010 WC.

and Canada definitely got screwed on that call. offside when deflected from the other team....oof.
