For the dancers, I always like "I Got Ants in My Pants ..."
I have been digging that "talkin loud sayin nothin" 'rock' version lately. It is straight up
But nearly impossible to pick a favorite.

Yes it is, i heard you play that a couple weeks ago. Straight heat
Souljazz?
Surprisingly good instrumental version of the Martha & the Vandellas hit.
I say surprisingly because JB's organ instrumentals on Smash are usually tedious background music, but this one hits the spot for some reason. Opens with a bunch of rowdy male voices (none of them James's!) saying something unintelligible, followed by Bobby Byrd counting it off. And then the band kicks in. Good shit.,
night train?
I got that feelin'?

Superbad, Superslick has been on rotation for a minute now.
So, i'd have to say that's the one for me at the moment.
Aside from those previously mentioned, four more of the top of my head: "I've Got Money" is criminally underrated. Bobby Byrd's "If You Got A Love You Better (Hold On To It)" is about as raw as it gets in a proper studio. "Blow Your Head" must have shocked listeners to death - I'm surprised that it wasn't a gigantic hit. And "If You Don't Give A Dogone About It" (single version) is a nice latter day JB number - the repeated chorus really sticks in your head.
This really is a monster. One of my absolute favorite tracks to dance to.
Also have to give a nod to Lowdown Popcorn (mentioned earlier) and In the Middle (one of the best mid-tempo, stripped down funk singles ever).
