fizzle
I definitely wouldnt think he would be showing big indy numbers or even holding down that label.
Whatever.
Jedi Mind Tricks (kids love em)
Hi-Tek (suckered alot of people into buying this release)
GZA (when his next album is released)
Besides that I think they do what indies like ABB do, sell a majority of their product overseas.
polyrhythm and sa-ra were both mad decent. their biggest problem is their marketing/pr depts... completely unreliable. hooking up with giant step was probably the smartest thing they could've done...
It's from the fat check the founder got from writing "Soul Plane".
Yes, that "Soul Plane".

...but I just checked the website and this looks like a sure shot!!!:
I>Renowed producer/DJ Sharkey and indie hip-hop stalwart C-Rayz Walz have teamed up to deliver a concept record that speaks to the Monsters within us all. Babygrande Records are set to release Sharkey & C-Rayz Walz are???Monster Maker July 31st./I>
Shipping Gold!
Oh, and I liked the new Polyrhythm Addicts album as well.
But co-sign on C-Rayz, and Sharkey too - I heard all this talk he was gonna be the new Josh
Peace

I felt letdown by that one.
Dolo_Yeung got the hot remixes.
Isn't/wasn't Jean Grae on Babygrande?
Can I just say that that was an interesting choice for your first post.
No hat... just interesting.
What makes it a garbage label to you?
Eyeballing thier A HREF=http://www.discogs.com/label/Babygrande>discography/A>, I gotta say "ewww".
Dion was good on that album though. wonder if his solo is gonna be any good...
chew's a good friend. feel free to bring the HATT to him tho.
he obviously hasn't lurked enough since he posted 2 graemlins in his 1st poast
Totally.
Now that Koch has become semi-respectable, BabyGrande is basically the new Koch.
disconnected.
GZA = Support by Wu fans which are fairly militant about supporting even the furthest offshoot of Wu-Tang. Hence SRC putting out a new Wu album this summer.
I would say that 98% of this board is not the babygrande audience so this the discussion on the label is going to be pretty skewed. They are like a smaller version of Rhymesayers and have a pretty similar audience.
